postpartum care

“women are the heart, the foundation of the people. supporting mothers supports healthy and empowered families, which supports thriving communities, which supports all of humanity.”
Rachelle Garcia Seliga
I offer you a holistic experience rooted in traditional postpartum practices, focusing on these important elements: warmth, nourishment, rest, and the importance mother-baby bonding.
How I support you...
Herbal support - Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, I create handcrafted herbal infusions to support postpartum healing, both internally and topically. These blends nourish, restore balance, and promote recovery, based on your unique needs.
Meal support - I prepare organic, slow-cooked meals designed specifically for postpartum. They are all deeply nourishing, easy to digest, and made with love to assist in tissue repair and nervous system regulation.
Emotional support - It is essential to be emotionally supported and witnessed in this time. Through being a grounded and caring presence, I help foster emotional resilience to create space for a deeper mother-baby bond. In a culture that often rushes this sacred time, honoring your full spectrum of emotions is a radical act of healing.
Infant care - From diapering and bathing to baby wearing and soothing, I offer gentle, intuitive care that supports your baby’s adjustment to life outside the womb. I help create structures of calming rhythms to help baby acclimate to their new environment through sleep, feeding, and relaxation.
Closing of the bones ceremony - Across many cultures, including Mexican, Russian, Arab, and Moroccan, mothers have long been honored with closing rituals that bring the body back to center after the great opening of birth. Using 7 rebozos, woven shawls, the body is lovingly wrapped and held, inviting warmth and nourishment deep into the tissues. This binding of the body, especially the hips, supports physical mending and grounding, while the ceremony itself creates a sacred container for emotional healing, safety, and renewal. Whether received once or several times in the first forty days, or years later as a way to honor your journey, Closing of the Bones is a powerful rite of closure and return, calling you back home to yourself after birth.
